The vertical filing is upplied to arrange paper envelopes in cardboard trays, which have labels and separators to devide different taxa. The cabinets and trays have individual numbers with corresponding ‘Storage tree’ in the database to track the exact place of storage.

The labels have QR-codes and could be easily retrieved by catalog number. The collection is organized in systematic (grouping in orders, classes, families, genera and species) and alphabetical (within a taxon) orders. 

The storage location of each specimen is recorded in the database within the corresponding storage hierarchy tables.
